Die erste Beziehung zwischen seiner Historia Thesauri und mir stellte er selber her, und zwar in den Jahren nach 1945, in denen ich als Flüchtling oder Umsiedler aus Breslau erst in Weißenfels und dann in Halle2 lebte. Damals bat er mich mehr mals um Auskünfte über Personen und Sachen, die er zufällig von mir am schnell sten erhalten konnte. In dem Jahre nach seinem Tode besuchte uns, meine Frau und mich, seine Witwe, Frau Rose Dittmann, geb. von Aichberger, im März 1957.
